Prevent dry skin by using dead sea cosmetics

1.        Insufficient water in skin cells causes an accelerated loss of moisture and causes dry skin.
2.        Dry skin is more common among older people, because of a decline in sebum production in glands. This glandular production is important to the hydrolipid system. Similarly, babies and young children may also suffer from dry skin, because their sebaceous glands are not yet fully developed.
3.        Genetic factors also influence the occurrence of dry skin.
4.        Winter has particularly detrimental effects on dry skin. Wind, cold weather, low humidity, and drying heating systems increase transepidermal water loss. Dry skin is therefore more common in winter; causing people with a tendency to dry skin suffer even more. Frequent bathing in hot water, swimming and exposure to detergents can further thin out the outer fatty layers which protect the skin.
5.        Poor nutrition (especially a lack of vitamins A and B) can cause dry skin.
6.        Various medications can also affect dry skin.
